Necker Platiere descends from the old French bloodlines that are now becoming very hard to find. He is by the famous showjumping sire GENTLEMAN PLATIERE (iso 173) who was campaigned on the international showjumping circuit by French rider Eric Navet. He was successful in numerous 1.60 Grand Prixs with Navet, including the Euro Prix Cheval Liberte, CSIA 4* Porte de Versailles and 1st 60,000 Euro Grand Prix, Franconville, France 2005. Gentleman Platiere was sired by Jalisco B, who is also the sire of famous stallions such as: QUIDAM DE REVEL, QUITO DE BAUSSY, DOLLAR DU MURIER, ALLEGRETO to name but a few.

Necker Platiere's dam OPALINE PLATIERE is by the old French breeding of QUASTOR who is by IBRAHIM, who also is the sire of ALME Z. Quastor was an international showjumper himself and is the sire of the stallions: PALADIN DE IFS, FIRST DE LAUNAY and FAIR PLAY II, who in turn is the sire of NARCOS II. OPALINE PLATIERE is the dam of 11 INTERNATIONAL SHOWJUMPERS including BAEKEN PLATIERE,who jumped at World Cup level with Michel Hecart. 

Necker Platiere was champion 3 year old in loose jumping at the French National Championships 2004. He was placed in numerous classes as a 4, 5,& 6 year old including 3rd and 5th in the 6 Year Old Championships CSI **** in Barcelona 2007.
